Well I did actually finish these pages a couple of weeks ago, but other things have superceded their publication till now! Ooh er!
These pages are pink and blue as per the "rules" at the front of the journal.
Well here are my pages for a Circle Journal with a title of "A little book of Random Advice".
The advice... the serious advice... is under the flap on the second page where it says "Be Grateful". There is a close up in the second photograph here.
There is a little bit of a silly/funny quote at the bottom of the left page too, just to add a bit of humour!
Well here is the double page layout for the Circle Journal, as they look in the CJ itself.
I much prefer to cover the whole page when making an entry into a Circle Journal, but as this journal is going to be bound with a "Bind it All", there are many holes all the way down instead of the usual 3 or 4!
So for ease of entry, I decided to stop my scrapbooking pages just short of the holes.
It mucks up the design a little, but I couldn't be bothered to hand punch all those holes! LOL
As for the "sign in" tag... this was made by photocopying the official ticket and then covering the provided blank tag with an area of the ticket, adding a large eyelet and some ribbon and there it is!
So the scrapbooking layout is fully digital and the tag is traditional/hybrid (hybrid due to the use of the photocopier/scanner)
Well I managed to complete the digital scrapbook layouts in time to put in the latest Circle Journal and deliver to the next person on the list... hello Katy!
So here are the digital files...
The first is the left hand page and the second is the right hand page (obviously!).
These were made using the ScrapBook Max scrapbooking program which I am currently reviewing and will be posting that review on here shortly. But suffice to say, it's a jolly good program to get you into the world of digital scrapbooking.
Anyway, more of that later!

The photographs on the right hand page are off the internet (from the official Bon Jovi Site).
The ticket on the left hand page is a scan of my concert ticket and the photo of me and family was taken on my phone!
I'm sooooooo technological now, don't you know! LOL.

Anyway, I will post a picture of how the pages look in the book and the "sign in" tag (that goes into the sign in pages usually at the back of a circle journal) next time.
Ok, here are the close ups of the pages, and... a picture of the tag used in the sign in page.
On the right hand page I included the text onto a digital journaling piece of paper. I added a drop shadow to this, so even now, in the photograph here, it's still difficult to see that it is actually part of the background image on the layout.
I have since found another tutorial useful, a link to which I will post shortly with another quick digital scrapbooking page I have made recently, specifically to work out how to blend properly!!!Little Things that Lift My Heart
I finished my double page layout for the last Circle Journal in my group.
Again, it's something that turned out unexpectedly nice! LOL
I did indeed decide to attempt some more hybrid scrapbooking and this is the result!
The digi part is the background paper merged with a photo on each page. And the journaling paper on the right hand page is also digital.
The oval tag on the left page is a digital element onto which I placed the title for the DPS, but I printed it separately and cut it out, to then embellish and adhere to the layout using foam pads.

Now I was going to list all the items I have used here but the papers and elements have cryptic file names and I can't remember from where I bought/downloaded them... so apologies to the designers! And maybe some designers names in the file names wouldn't go amiss!
To just watch the wildlife in the garden - oh to be
absorbed by the simplicity of the moment.To experience the calm and serenity of
gazing upon fish slowly gliding through clear waters.To see raindrops on roses
and to smell their perfume, which seems that much sweeter when they are picked
from one’s own garden.To be outside on a still warm summer’s night and gaze at
the stars.To hear the first song of the Skylark in Spring, singing of the
certainty that summer is on it’s way.
Such things I am grateful for now and always.
I will have to make sure I rename the files (if necessary) when I separate the kits next time!

I thought showing some of my existing work would bring home the point that I like to try "a bit of everything"!
Oh... and the hidden journaling under the flap (see yesterday's post and pictures) reads as follows:
I’m not sure I have one because I like to try all sort of styles –
traditional/modern, busy/simple, bright/soft, angular/swirly.
I like to try new techniques all the time and my pages reflect
that.
I do like interactive layouts (such as tags and flaps for
hidden journaling) and I love the “touchy feeliness” of it all. It’s a
tactile hobby!
I’m drawn to the red side of the colour spectrum
from pink through to deep burgundies and rich autumn colours (but I enjoy using
all sorts of colours together).
But I suppose if you look at my
work, it does reflect my personality in a way! It’s mixed up, a bit of
everything!
There is a slight common thread running through a lot of
my pages however, and it is that I enjoy curves much more than angles. I
like organic, round, swirling forms and flourishes.
So I think my
Style would have to be “FreeStyle” – free to do Everything!
This is my Double Page Spread in the Circle Journal I was telling you about yesterday.
I have used exclusively Basic Grey "Pheobe" 6x6" papers.
The left hand page, however, was actually the pink card as supplied in the journal, blank, and I used 3 different ink colours to print swirls to create a patterned background directly onto the cardstock. The stamp is from the Basic Grey "Two Scoops" collection.
The right hand side has a flap which opens to reveal the journaling... basically me waffling on about the fact that I don't really have a style LOL!
Tomorrow I will post the other pics showing what is inside each of the 2inch squares on the left hand page. And possibly the transcript of the journaling, as you probably won't be able to read even with clicking on the picture here to get a bigger image!

I have finished my double page layout in my UKS Team member's CJ with a theme of "What's your Style".
It has been interesting to attempt to find out what my style is... do I have a style?
Well, my scrapbooking is very much like my personality... I like variety, which is why I have moved house 8 times in 18 years!
My motto is "Variety is the Spice of Life"
But that's not a "style" really is it. I like to be free to choose what I do, I like to try new things all the time... so I have declared my style as "FreeStyle".
I think many of us are similar... to me a style just means that you are very "samey" and although I can be very samey at times, I get bored easily so it wouldn't last! LOL
I hope to post pictures shortly!
This is the Circle Journal (CJ) from Sally, the member of my team who it "above" me on the CJ list!
Her CJ's theme is "What's your style" as in scrapbooking... not fashion! LOL I think I might have a bit of trouble with the latter!
The photos show Sally's own DPS and the Rules page and Sign-in cover.
I do like the pink and pale turquoise colour combination.
Now all I have to do is add my pages (DPS) and complete a tag on the sign in page!
"All..." she says! rolling eyes!
The trouble is I don't have a style... I like to try all sorts of things... to me a "style" just means they repeat the same sort of thing which can be a bit boring... So whatever I decide my style is... it is only at this current moment... I have always moved on to new things, so my style may have changed by this time next year!

Well here are the welcome and sign-in pages from the Circle Journal I made, which has been safely delivered to the next person on the list - as of this morning!
The patterned paper is from the Blush collection from Basic Grey, as are the stick-on letters.
I can't remember where the embossed card came from - I have had it rather a long time!
Well here are some pictures of my finished circle journal!

I covered the covers (doesn't sound right does it?!) in a fabric I found in our local fabric shop! I went in for some velvet for a little bit on my pages and came out with a material to cover the whole thing!
The chipboard letters are stuck to the fabric using glue, but as the material is only stuck to the board beneath in a few places with sicky dots to avoid marking the smooth satin finish, I thought it best to incorporate some had sewing to hold the weight of the letters!
I'm getting there! Just look at the mess! It's late on Sunday evening... the eve before I have to post it (well actually the next person on the list for me lives nearby, so I will drop it off). But it's the principle of the thing... said I'd be ready for 7th April, and I am!
Well are you holding your breath waiting for my CJ (Circle Journal) unveiling?! LOL... I doubt it, got your own scrapbooking to do... right?
Well I am working like a Trojan here...
So far have made the blank carcass of the CJ and pages from scratch,
covered the front and back covers
Made the "Sign in pages"
Written the welcome
and am now in the process of creating the welcome page... just can't get the right ribbon at the moment... tut!
Anyway... after that, all I have to do is my own pages! Yes, I know..... "ALL" I have to do...!
I realise that they are actually the most important for me, as I was the one to pick the theme, but I will have to do them from scratch tomorrow!
And, of course, I will post the pictures as soon as it is finished! Promise!

You can tell it's Christmas time... normal things get shoved aside in the necessity to write cards, wrap presents, put up decorations... all stuff you wouldn't do every day because... you just don't have the time!! But do these things we must! 
The idea for showing you this now..? Prepare for the Christmas layouts... think a little bit in advance (when standing in that looooong checkout queue at the supermarket with a trolley stuffed with food - LOL) about the pictures you could take that are a little bit different from the norm... like different angles, looking down on people, or sitting on the floor looking up at them for instance.
