Time to move over!

Hi there everyone!

As I am so busy with the New Tearooms, some things have to "give" and this blog is one of them I'm afraid. I may resume updates on here at some point, but as my main blog includes everything that used to be on here, you are better off bookmarking that one.

The main blog is... SundayLDesigns.com and I am still (just about!) posting on that blog, and of course, I have the Tearooms blog to update now too.

So head on over for more Scrapbooking, Cardmaking and general Papercrafting blog posts, along with other bits and pieces.

What embellishments? and Tearoom ideas!

I have been away from here again... sooo busy which is great... but I hope you have been making good use of the links on this blog to take you to the other blogs and all the other items I have written and photographed over the last 3 years.

I've just checked back actually and I started this blog back in April 2007, how time flies - although it feels like I have always had this blog!

Anyway, to stay in touch keep checking the Main Site and the new TallyHoTearooms website too.

But here are a couple of links for you anyway...

UKScrappers Challenge Scrapbook Page
As some of you may remember I am part of a Scrapbooking “cyber” team over on UKScrappers.co.uk and this week it was our Team’s turn to set the Challenge for anyone who wants to take part.
This is what it says…

What Embellishments?
I received a request for my advice today on the subject of embellishments, and what to use. I have been asked this question a number of times, different types of photos, but it’s the same answer I give.Of course there are many themed embellishments out there, you know, such as dog bone brads!, but I [...]

So Much More to Come!
I have such plans for the Tearooms, but we have been sooooo busy (which is fantastic) that I have not had a chance to organise much.Firstly, due to demand, we have made some Gluten [...]

Time for a Change!
... “of what?” you may ask.
Well sometimes you just need a change of scenery! this was my scenery this afternoon, after deciding that I needed to “get out” and clear my head of numbers! [...]

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long that I have been away from this blog?! I have been sooo busy with the Tearooms and trying to update SundayLDesigns.com blog that I have been tardy on keeping this one up. First time in quite a few years I can tell you!

Keeping it short again with some (hopefully) self-explanatory links!

Journaling Tip 1 and More Tearooms Snippets

Sunday's Weekly Round-Up - 25th April 2010
Hello there, I have been away from here for a while haven't I? Well those of you clicking through to my other website(s) will probably have seen all the goings on with the The Tally Ho Tearooms.
I have been living, eating and breathing the place for the last 4 months and this last month we have been working our little tails off! I am happy to say that we have been very busy serving lots of lovely customers full of compliments for the Tearooms... the decor, food, uniforms, service, etc.

Many cusomters have been been back a number of times already and we have only been open 3 weeks! The record so far (I think) is a lady who has been back 5 times, bringing a different person with her each time! A big thank you to all those who've been to see us and enjoyed their visit.

As for scrapbooking, well we held our first ScrapBuddies crop in the Tearooms on 13th and we have our first Open crop this coming Tuesday, for which I should be preparing a demo!

Because of the non-scrapbooking stuff going on in my life at the moment, I haven't written many articles and so the next Newsletter will be an April/May issue!

I did manage to get the freebie download out though, which was some free printable background papers (pictured). If you sign up to the newsletter, you get instant access to all previous freebies.

I have also managed to write the first of some quick journaling tips.

So here are some links... some scrapping, some tearoom, all possibly of interest?

Scrapbooking without photos, more Kids Albums and a Valentine Card

Sunday's Weekly Round-Up 28th February 2010

Do you know, I have actually managed to create two scrapbook pages this month, along with various cards. I'm rather pleased bearing in mind we are trying to set up a large Tearooms from scratch at the same time!
Only pretty simple layouts, but made nevertheless!
Anyway here is the offering from this week.

Scrapbooking without photos - it CAN be done!
Here is a quick(ish) scrapbook page I made recently. You can see I have no photographs on this page. Instead I have used the piece of paper which my daughter had written on as my focal point...

I took two different classes at Honey’s school… the Juniors… the subject of the earlier post and the seniors, here are their finished Paper Bag Albums...

I reaslise that it’s a week later, but here is the photograph of the Valentines card I made for my husband. As my other half likes chocolate so much...

Kids Scrapbooking Classes and Free Supplies

Sunday's Weekly Round -Up - 21st February 2010

I have made quite a few cards this week, and I maaged to make an 8x8 scrapbook page last Monday, have photographed them, but just haven't got around to posting them to the blog... will do soon though.
However I have managed to stumble across a blog of a lady who makes exquisite cards... very ornate and possibly time consuming, but nevertheless I will attempt to "card-lift" them (like scraplifting!).
The cards I have been making are for selling in the Tearooms and I haven't made them too complicated, although on seeing the ones on this blog I think I may make some "more expensive" ones. After all buying cards in the shops is a really expensive business and I think people would part with the money for that very special occasion, or special someone.
These are the articles from SundayLDesigns.com though...
How do you get your friends to gladly GIVE you Scrapbooking Supplies? (and they can also be used for cardmaking.) What Scrapbooking items am I talking about? ...
During the Autumn School Term at Honey’s school I held a few 6 week scrapbooking classes/courses for the Juniors (and the seniors, but that’s in another post)… We made Envelope Scrapbook Albums and here are the pictures...

Heaven knows where we are going to put everything!
